1) Add Line Breaks To Your Bio

You can instantly create a more professional looking bio by adding line breaks – but Instagram doesn’t make it easy! To get line breaks, you’ll first have to type out your bio in a notes app, creating the line breaks you want. Then open up ‘Edit Profile’, and under ‘Bio’ you can paste your new content, breaks and all.

2) Appear on the Explore Page

It’s a little-known fact that the ‘Name’ section of your bio is actually searchable and will show up on the Explore Page. So, change yours to something that sums up your brand, such as ‘Luxury Trainer Brand’, to make it easier for your target audience to find you.

 

3) Link to Other Content in Your Bio

You can use your Instagram bio to link to other user’s pages or include hashtags that you’re promoting. For example, you may have a behind the scenes Instagram account for your brand or a campaign that uses a specific hashtag, and you can show them off here.

 

4) Promote Your IGTV Content

Instagram’s new development of IGTV is certainly exciting for brands! It opens up a whole new way to share content and market yourself, but it’ll only work if you’re actually getting an audience.

To make sure you get the views you want, link to your IGTV videos in your stories by pressing the link symbol on the top right of your screen, before choosing ‘IGTV video’ from the available options.

5) Share Other User’s Content on IG Stories

Connect with other brands and create engaging content that your audience will love by sharing other users posts to your stories. You can also post images from your customers too, making it easy to promote your products or services! Simply tap the button that looks like an arrow underneath a post and choose ‘Add post to your story’. Easy!

 

6) Hashtag Your Stories

Adding hashtags and locations is a great way to drum up more views for your story. Most hashtags and geo-location tags will have their own stories on the explore page, so yours will be added to that, giving you a bigger audience instantly! Be really sneaky and hide your hashtags under a gif so no one can see them.

 

7)  Turn Off ‘Last Active’

It’s super easy to stop people from seeing when you were last active on Instagram. All you have to do is head over to ‘Settings’, before going down to ‘Activity Status’ and sliding the button to turn it off. Simple.

 

8) Save Your Live Videos

If you want to share your Instagram Live videos across platforms, or just save them for the memories, you can keep them by clicking the save button once you’ve finished filming. It’s in the top right-hand corner, and it’ll save the video straight to your camera roll.

 

 

9) Story Sneak Peeks

Give sneak previews of a new product or announcement on your Instagram Stories with this little trick. Simply take a picture, select a colour to draw with, and hold down on the screen until it automatically fills the entire story in colour. Then, select the eraser icon, and rub out sections of the colour.

 

10) Reply to Comments Quickly

Create shortcuts for replies to frequently asked questions to make your life a whole lot easier, and master your digital marketing customer service. All you have to do is head to ‘Settings’, ‘General’, ‘Keyboard’, and ‘Text Replacement’. Select the + sign, and under ‘Phrase’, type out the response, before adding a word in the ‘Shortcut’ section that you’ll use. For example, you can type ‘Hi! Our shop is open from 9am to 5pm every weekday. We can’t wait to see you!’ and then use ‘Instaopen’ as the shortcut.
